Falkland in Bloom are one of the most successful voluntary community groups in the country having obtained national and international honours through campaigns such as Beautiful Scotland, Britain in Bloom and Entente Florale.
In their later stages of campaigning Falkland achieved a gold medal in Entente Florale in 2007 and Britain in Bloom in 2008. This was followed up with victory and a gold medal in the Britain in Bloom Champion of Champions category in 2009 and 2010.
Following this success the Royal Horticultural Society changed the rules, in order that communities could only participate in the Champion of Champions category for one year at a time.
Falkland therefore became the first and last community to win the Champion of Champions category for two years in a row.
Falkland in Bloom no longer participate in campaigns and have concentrated in creating a Social Enterprise in order to assist other communities in their floral enhancement activities. This assistance includes supplying hanging baskets, hanging basket rental, watering and wildflower meadow construction. We also deliver our plants and baskets and can offer an erection and dismantling service.
