About us...
What is Falkland In Bloom?
Falkland In Bloom is a voluntary group formed some twenty-three years ago when Fife Council agreed to provide support for organisations making horticultural efforts in their own communities.
Beginning in a very modest way with a few tubs, we can now boast well over a hundred baskets and window boxes, as well as five floral farm carts, all recently refurbished and showing the link with Fife’s agricultural past.
Along with many other tubs and containers, all are bedded out with plants raised in our own poly-tunnel, sited centrally and maintained in season by volunteers. Over 50,000 plants were raised in 2009, with the sale of the surplus being sold at our annual plant sale in May.
