Big Tent 2006...

The Big Tent 2006 was a three day event in July celebrating many ways that ordinary people can make a difference to their communities, their environment and their children's future. The tented village provided a mix of debates, exhibitions and hands-on activities, as well as music and good food, with a schools programme providing workshops for over 700 children. As many as 2000 primary pupils were involved in tending native saplings to be planted out in Falkland Estate this coming winter. Falkland in Bloom had a presence at the event to showcase the work that we do and to spread information of our projects to a wider audience.
